Is Calliope Music closing?!
Our brick-and-mortar store is closing — but Calliope lives on! We’re now an online resource for sheet music, lessons, and instrument rentals and repairs. It’s an exciting transition for us: we loved being a part of the Ardmore street-scene, but working through our website will be a refreshing change (and will lower our blood pressures).
What services does Calliope offer?
Sales of sheet music, instrument rentals and repairs, & lessons for all levels.
We offer music lessons for piano, voice, guitar, sax, clarinet, flute, violin, cello, string bass, as well as composition and theory.
Is there somewhere I can see your inventory?
At the moment we do not have e-commerce, but we will post information about used instruments and new sheet music titles that we think are worth noting. A quick email or call to us with a question will work too!
How do I order sheet music?
Email or call Julia or George. We will give you your options and let you know how long it will take to receive the music. We can also give you suggestions on editions!
I’m looking to rent an instrument. Can you help?
We are still partnered with Menchey Music Services so yes, of course we’re happy to honor your existing rentals and prior agreements.
I’m looking to buy an instrument. Can you help?
From time to time we have used instruments that our repair guy, Jeff, goes over and makes sure are in good working order. You can see these on our website. We can arrange for you to try them out in person.
Do you buy used instruments?
Yes! Give us a call and we can talk.
What if I have a problem with my Menchey rental instrument?
Because we are still partnered with Menchey give us a call and we will facilitate a solution.
How do your lessons work?
Our teachers go to the home, you just need to have an instrument! For piano lessons you need to have either a real piano or a keyboard with 88 keys and a sustaining pedal.
How do you price lessons?
We offer 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or an hour lessons. For pricing please email Julia info@calliopemusicstore.com
How do I pay for my lessons now that the brick and mortar store is gone?
Please send checks to PO Box 671, Ardmore, PA 19003. We are working on setting up electronic payment options.
