Description

In its three movements, Joaquín Turina’s “Círculo …” op. 91 follows the course of the day: from sunrise, “Amanecer” (calm-impressionistic), through the midday heat in “Mediodía” (lively, dance-like with Andalusian rhythms), to the evening twilight, “Crepúsculo” (elegiac). In this piano trio, influences from Spanish folklore invite one on a journey of discovery into Turina’s picturesque tonal language. The edition is based on the first edition and the autograph and, with its well-founded, up-to-date musical text, offers the best foundation for an authentic interpretation of this Fantasía full of fire and colours!
