Description
With this volume, all of Alexander Scriabin’s Etudes are available for the first time in a Henle Urtext edition. Brought together here are not only the large collections of Etudes op. 8, 42 and 65, as well as the famous early Etude op. 2, no. 1, but the volume also contains the two Etudes hidden in composite collections, namely the Etudes op. 49 no. 1, and op. 56 no. 4, which already number among Scriabin’s late works. The longtime Henle editor and Scriabin expert Valentina Rubcova has newly edited these two pieces especially for this edition.
The fingering for all the Etudes in this volume stem from the outstanding interpreter of Russian music, Boris Giltburg. He provides inspiration and top-class guidance for mastering this colourful piano music.
