Description
Cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras and pianist Alexandre Tharaud share a deep artistic friendship, at the heart of which stands Franz Schubert, the central figure in their mutual music-making. Their first joint CD with transcriptions of five unforgettable Schubert songs was released in 2006. This wonderfully songful music in its new guise for violoncello and piano is available here as musical text. A treasure trove for cellists, who want to dive into the rich emotional universe of Schubert’s songs, and who at the same time appreciate editorial diligence!
